I have been noticing more and more that when people think of me, they immediately associate me with anime, and I'm starting to truly resent it. So I've decided that my reputation is going to start taking a different turn. Obviously anime and manga are a part of my passions, but I would truly like others to look past this facet of me into the general idea. The big picture here is the art; the colors, the shapes, the characters, the messages. I originally started liking anime as a kid because I truly appreciated the art style and that inspired me to start developing a more mature art style of my own. I am always inspired by the bright colors, the immaculate details in the drawing while remaining simplistic. I understand that not all anime has the same attention to detail to speak of, but those that do... Well, they speak for themselves. I am an artistic person by nature. I love any facet of art: drawing, photography, fashion, painting, writing, acting, etc. Anything in the world of art is the world I thrive in. Anime is just a small part of the artistic world I inhabit. Please stop associating me with an image of a cute anime girl with overly large watery blue eyes and start thinking of me as the artist and person that I am. For once, I don't want to be called "the anime freak", I want to be called "the artist".
